Blackmagic MultiView
Blackmagic Multi View models are the world’s first native Ultra HD multi viewers that allow complete monitoring of totally independent SDI video sources on a single HD or Ultra HD display! With full frame resynchronization on each input, you can monitor any combination of SD, HD and Ultra HD formats and frame rates, all at the same time and on the same display. When used with an Ultra HD TV, quad split viewing gives you four displays of maximum 1080 HD resolution on a single screen! You also get audio meters, customized display labels and much more!
Three Excellent Model Options
Monitor up to 4 or 16 sources at once in Ultra HD or HD!
Blackmagic Multiview 4 HD
Monitor up to 4 different SD and HD sources on the same display, at the same time!
The new Blackmagic MultiView 4 HD model is a low-cost multi-viewer that allows you to monitor 4 different video sources on a single display simultaneously! Each view comes from a completely independent video monitor with overlays that can be enabled or disabled, such as custom labels, audio meters and much more. Full frame resynchronization on each input makes it possible to monitor any combination of video signals, even if the frame rates are different. The multi-rate 3G-SDI connections are compatible with all current SD and HD equipment and formats up to 1080p60, including level A and B devices. What’s more, you get 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs so you can use traditional SDI displays or even low-cost large-screen TVs!
MultiView 4
The easiest-to-useSD, HD and Ultra HDmulti-view!
Blackmagic MultiView 4 has four independent 6G-SDI inputs that work with all SD, HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p30. The included ethernet remote control software allows you to enable audio meters, select the audio you want to stream and create custom labels! MultiView 4 displays your sources on a standard 2×2 grid. You can also add a Teranex Mini Smart Panel for complete control via a front panel and rack mount it with the optional Teranex Mini Rack Shelf.
MultiView 16
View up to 16 independent SD, HD and Ultra HD sources simultaneously!
The MultiView 16 is ideal for larger installations, as it has 16 independent 6G-SDI inputs for connecting to any combination of SD, HD or Ultra HD sources and simultaneous monitoring on a single display! Full router-style controls on the front panel, with an LCD screen and rotary knob, allow you to adjust settings, route sources to different views, activate overlays and much more. The video output can be configured as a 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4 grid, or even full screen in SOLO mode!
Use in Studio or Live!
Multi-source monitoring for telebroadcasters
Multi view monitoring is perfect for huge control rooms with many input feeds, multi camera live productions or for use on location and in small places with little space for multiple monitors. With Blackmagic Multi View models, you don’t need to connect multiple monitors, dozens of cables or use extra power to see all your video sources! Just plug your cameras, decks, switchers and routers into the SDI connections to see everything in incredible clarity and detail on a single HD or Ultra HD monitor!
Independent Monitoring
Use any combination of SD, HD and Ultra HD sources
Each view in a Blackmagic Multi View functions as a completely independent video monitor. You get frame resynchronization on all SDI inputs, meaning they can have any video format and frame rate, with each input being completely independent of all the others. You can combine NTSC, PAL, 720p, 1080i, 1080p and Ultra HD up to 2160p30 with or without synchronization, all on the same display, at the same time! It’s like having 4 or 16 independent monitors in one!
High Resolution Monitoring
The world’s highest resolution multi-viewer!
All Blackmagic MultiView models work with HD displays, while the 6G-SDI models also work with Ultra HD displays, so you get maximum compatibility with your own equipment. This means you can use regular HD displays, but you also have the option of using an Ultra HD monitor for incredible clarity! Ultra HD has four times as many pixels as regular HD, so your videos will look sharper and more defined than ever! In other words, when displaying the 2×2 view on an Ultra HD monitor, each view will have a maximum 1920 x 1080 HD resolution without resizing! MultiView includes SDI and HDMI outputs, so you can connect to televisions, video projectors, broadcast monitors and much more!

Customized labels, signage, audio meters and much more!
Blackmagic Multi View models include advanced monitoring tools that can be displayed with your videos. You get customized labels, signage, audio meters and much more! You can also select the audio source to be routed to the video output. The on-screen source labels have a subtle, elegant design and are resized proportionally based on the selected layout. What’s more, you get anamorphic support in standard definition, so you can view 16 x 9 anamorphic video sources in widescreen.
Multi-rate SDI connections
Compatible with all your SD, HD and Ultra HD equipment!
The Blackmagic MultiView range includes SDI inputs with full frame resynchronization and some models even have separate loop through outputs, making them compatible with your existing equipment. The SDI inputs automatically detect and resynchronize SD and HD formats. What’s more, some models also resynchronize Ultra HD formats up to 2160p30. You get HDMI and SDI output and MultiView 16 also includes a connection for reference input and black burst and three-level sync for studio installations.
Versatile design!
Three impressive designs that fit into any installation!
The MultiView 4 HD’s super-solid mini converter-style metal design makes it perfect for use on the road and in demanding broadcast environments. Just plug in your sources and start monitoring! MultiView 4 works with both HD and Ultra HD, and features a Teranex Mini style design for desktop or rack mounting. You can add an optional front panel or use Ethernet for more control options. MultiView 16 is designed for larger installations where viewing many video sources on the same screen is required. You get router-style controls on the front panel that include a rotary knob and LCD screen for quickly adjusting settings, adding overlays and easily routing any source to any view on the grid!
Multiple MultiViews
Create customized views with even more fonts!
The Blackmagic MultiView 4 operates 4 sources in an extremely compact size, but if you have more sources, you can combine multiple MultiViews to create customized displays! Simply cascade two of them by connecting the output of one MultiView 4 to one of the inputs of the other. This means that you can now monitor seven sources at once, all on the same display! There’s no limit to the number of units you can combine to create your own customized display!
Optional Front Panel Controls
Works with Teranex Mini Smart Panel models !
Blackmagic MultiView 4 works with the optional Teranex Mini Smart Panel, so you can add front panel controls to your MultiView 4! Installation is as simple as swapping out the front panel and, once installed, it’s even easier to set it up and adjust the settings quickly! The Smart Panel includes dedicated buttons, an integrated LCD screen and a rotary knob so you can enable screen labels, audio meters, borders, signage and much more! You can even adjust settings such as the IP address and video output format right from the front panel!
The size of a Teranex Mini
Use all Teranex Mini accessories !
MultiView 4 is the same size as Blackmagic Design’s Teranex Mini range of 12G-SDI converters. This means you can use the Teranex Mini Rack Shelf to rack mount the MultiView 4 and even combine multiple MultiView 4 models on the same rack shelf or combine it with a mix of Teranex Mini converters and MultiViews. The choice is yours! If you’re in a critical broadcast environment where you need the ability to change settings at any time, you can add the Teranex Mini Smart Panel. This gives you complete access to all MultiView 4 settings in easy-to-use graphical menus that are simpler and faster than standard panel keys.
External Router Control
Video hub router protocol compatible for easy external control!
The MultiView 16 simulates a Videohub router, so you get complete compatibility with all Videohub external control panels in software and hardware to route any of the sources to any of the monitoring views. Both models can be controlled via the software utility on Mac or Windows computers, so you can change settings remotely if access to the front panel is restricted. You can even add screen labels and other settings remotely!
