The D-416 can distribute MPX and RDS signals, as the frequency response is 60 kHz. In a typical configuration, the D-416 with independent level control accepts four balanced input signals and distributes each input to four independent, well-balanced outputs. The volume of each of the 16 outputs is controlled individually by its knobs on the front panel. Likewise, the level of each of the four inputs can be controlled independently from the front of the computer. The D-416 amplified audio distributor has a 4-level indicator LED associated with each of the inputs to help the user establish an optimum operating level.
The balanced inputs are designed to have common-mode rejection and RF immunity.
The outputs are protected against short-circuit. The D-416 uses balanced connections and can be used with connections from:
