3CX10000A7 / 8160 is a high triode-mu source and is intended for use as a zero bias Class B amplifier for audio or RF applications, or as a Class C, CW or modulated amplifier. Operation in a class B with zero grid bias offers circuit simplicity by eliminating the bias feed, and in addition grounded grid operation is attractive since a power gain as high as twenty times can be obtained with the tube.
