OPTIMOD 5750 is Orban’s newest generation of audio processors and comes with all the features needed in a high-quality audio processor for FM and digital radio. It has a compact 1RU design, is equipped with a new high-resolution touchscreen and can be controlled via any HTML5-compatible web browser.
The OPTIMOD 5750 replaces its predecessor, the OPTIMOD 5700i, and offers FM and HD processing for DAB+, HD Radio and streaming. FM and HD settings can be coupled to achieve a smooth transition between analog and HD1 in HD Radio. Alternatively, FM and digital processing can be adjusted independently. This is valuable when digital processing is used on a channel that requires no transition, such as an Internet stream.
Four Processing Structures: Five Bands, Five Low Latency Bands, Five Ultra Low Latency Bands and Two Bands.
Window-Gated AGC: Intelligent two-band AGC with subtle and discreet level control.
RDS/RBDS: The integrated generator supports dynamic PS scrolling and IP access.
Factory presets: The OPTIMOD 5750 has several factory presets included; Orban’s unique “Minus-More” control makes it simple to create your own distinctive sound.
AES67/SMPTE ST-2110: Two redundant network interfaces are available for audio over IP connections, supporting AES67, RAVENNA and SMPTE ST-2110. AES67 offers compatibility with Dante and Livewire+TM.
Remote Control/Monitoring: The OPTIMOD 5750 can be configured and controlled via any HTML5-compatible web browser. SNMP v2 and Ember+ are also included.
Audience Measurement: Two internal Marker Coders are optionally available, allowing FM and DAB+/HD Radio signals to be marked independently.
Streaming Monitoring Output: Processed FM or DAB+/HD Radio signals can be monitored remotely via IP, allowing processor adjustments in locations where a clean off-air signal is not available.
μMPX Interface: The optional μMPX Interface enables DMPX transmission over IP.
Internal storage for audio backup: A 2 GB Flash Memory provides two hours of linear audio or twelve hours of audio encoded in AAC, MP3 or OPUS.
Internet streaming decoder: This function can be used as a backup audio source received via Audio over IP.
Diversity Delay: An adjustable delay can be inserted in the FM and/or digital path to ensure time alignment of the FM and HD Radio/DAB+ signals in the receiver.
True Peak Limiter: The “True Peak” limiter in the digital processing path anticipates and controls peak levels after D/A conversion, a function now required by many broadcasters.
