SOUNDCRAFT EPM – PRODUCTION CONSOLEIn Soundcraft’s EPM series of production consoles, surface-mount technology is used throughout the design, using low-tolerance components, for high precision and repeatable EQ and gain adjustments. The high-transparency microphone preamp (designed by Graham Blyth) offers high-resolution adjustments within a wide 55dB margin, providing an impressive +22dB of headroom throughout the console. Professional 48-volt phantom power supply accepts condenser microphones of all types. A unique highlight in signal monitoring is the LED and spikes. It uses several sampling points in the circuit to detect overloads: the brighter the LED gets, the closer the signal gets to the clipping point. For smooth and precise channel control, the EPM uses high-quality 60mm faders. The monitor output and headphone output work in parallel: this way presenters can continue listening on headphones in the studio, while the operator is listening on speakers in the tech. The Soundcraft EPM series has up to 12 input by 2 output channels, two configurable auxiliary buses, XLR and 1/4″ (P10) connectors, playback input and recording outputs on RCA jacks, three-band equalizers on the mono inputs, with midrange sweep, and two-band equalizers on the stereo inputs; TRS insert points on all mono inputs and the mix output; complete and intuitive solo system; headphone output; easy rack mounting.
