This is a circular polarization antenna developed by VIMESA and which has been successfully marketed for over fifteen years in Spain, Asia and especially Latin America. This antenna competes in performance with the traditional Penetrator model (GapKiller) which is also manufactured by Vimesa. However, the X Killer QAD antenna has some distinguishing features:

• This is a cross-shaped antenna whose traditional models are fed through FEDDERs or feeders offset by 90 degrees from each other to achieve circular polarization. In this case, the X Killer QAD antenna is fed through a single feeder, thus achieving a single input connector. The input connector can be of the EIA 7/8″ or DIN 7/16″ female type.
• The antenna is full broadband as the X Killer QAD antenna operates from 87.5 to 108.0 MHz without the need for adjustment, with RL across the entire FM band above 22 dB. This condition makes it ideal for operating in multiplexed systems with multiple frequencies organized over the entire FM band.
• One of the main features of the X Killer QAD antenna is the separation between elements in any number of antennas. As is known in conventional arrangements, this separation is usually around +/- 2.9 meters. With the X killer QAD antenna, the separation between antennas is always 1.9 meters, regardless of the working frequency. This means that the space saved on the tower is significant.

• The X Killer QAD Antenna, like all VIMESA antennas, is made from A316 L stainless steel, which makes it ideal for operating in very hostile environments in terms of corrosion, whether in places with high levels of humidity, salinity or the presence of volcanic ash/dust.
